MARTHA LILIANA MENDEZ

Martha Liliana is CEO and Consulting Lead with IT GRC & CYBERSECURITY. She enjoys cultivating relationships and helping clients, and the challenge of the ever dynamic IT Technology, IT Risk and Security, as well as the changing rules and regulations associated with IT. She has a Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering/ Computer Science and a Master in Business Administration focused on Project Management. In addition, she has the following ISACA certifications:

Experience

Liliana has more than twenty five years of hands-on, real-world experience in the IT arena to get the work done, including 10 years working for BIG FOUR companies, which helps her lead teams in supporting the clients and/or perform projects by her own related to Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance, Information Security Risk and Compliance, IT Risk and Compliance for First-party companies, Third -Party Risk Assessments, as well as IT Audit and Data Analytics.

Liliana performed several roles managing staff, working for Technology Risk Consulting and IT Risk Management areas in Big Four companies such as Deloitte and KPMG, serving more than 80 corporations. She performed activities related to IT audit management supporting internal and external audit, internal control, IT compliance, operational risk management teams, and roles related to information security consulting. Previously, for 10 years, she performed different IT roles related to IT infrastructure management, software development, computing training, serving Ecopetrol, the main Colombian oil company.

Before joining IT GRC & CYBERSECURITY, she worked for 4 years supporting the practice of Information Security Risk and Compliance within the CISO - Chief Information Security Officer's organizational structure at Ryder in the Miami area, as well as working for 5 years supporting the IT Audit and Control practice in the Internal Audit and Control Department at Encompass Health and reporting directly to the National IT Audit Director at Birmingham, AL.

Outside the Office

Liliana enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends, dancing, baking, cooking, being active at church.
